Bermondsey is a town in the very northeast Surrey standing on the south bank of the river Thames at the end of Tower Bridge and to the east. It is deep within the London conurbation, having been swallowed up in the growing urban spread from its earliest times, and is completely contiguous with the towns around it. Immediately to the west of Bermondsey lies Southwark and to the east is Rotherhithe. To the south are Walworth and Peckham.
